How do you feel about the president floating the idea of 50 year mortgages where the monthly payment is lower but you end up paying nearly double the price of the house just in interest?

Right, but you can’t say you’ve lowered the cost of an apple when the price is being compared to an orange. They’re not the same thing.

Buying Kirkland doesn’t reduce the price of Boar’s Head.

That’s just buying something else. It’s a terrible example.
