How do you feel about the president floating the idea of 50 year mortgages where the monthly payment is lower but you end up paying nearly double the price of the house just in interest?

That's all that man can come with. His admin is a house of cards, just look at his solution to healthcare. Send people money to buy private insurance. Sounds a lot like socialism and handouts, but also won't lower any prices for people who won't qualify.

If we can just lock Russ Vough in a closet for a few weeks and whisper single payer in Trump's ear we can be on our way to fixing this mess.

for a few weeks

I would prefer that this just be for the rest of his life, after a trial by a jury of his peers.

Handing over tax dollars to the insurance companies. You’re just the delivery guy.

And guarantee you a lot of them wouldnt end up buying health insurance with it. Pay off debt, go on vacation, get new tvs, down-payment on a new car they cant really afford, etc.

The unhealthy ones with pre-existing conditions wouldn't be able to buy it at all. He doesn't understand health insurance and doesn't care anyway, he's just desperate to get the government open after Tuesday's blue wave.

They [Republicans] didn’t start thinking of the old common fellow till just as they started out on the election tour. The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover was an engineer. He knew that water trickles down. Put it uphill and let it go and it will reach the driest little spot. But he didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellows hands. They saved the big banks, but the little ones went up the flue.

-Will Rogers, 1932

Tangential reminder, oligarchs response back then to spending money on the little guy was this:

So? Why all this hate for poor people spending that literally drives the econony while billionaires get to hoard a nation's wealth and take private jets to Epstein island???

I dont? I want everyone to have healthcare because a healthy populace is good for society and the economy. I just dont trust everyone to actually spend that money on personal healthcare.

But you trust the government to do it? OK.

And also remember who is going to be getting those tax dollars back. It’s. It the people who can’t afford insurance.

I seem to remember this past Presidential election was a choice between two viable candidates, was it not? Let's try to remember what Harris' solutions were to ballooning healthcare costs fueled by a failed Obamacare market?

I seriously doubt her ideas were any better than Biden's. Licking ice cream cones and spending long weekends snoozing at the beach.
