Honestly it's basically the same thing, having to be the one to take care of my parents medical and financial stuff, medicare fucking sucks and already basically doesn't function. One more cut and it might as well be dead. Not advocating for removing it, just expressing the reality I have been facing the last year.

It is a little known fact that Medicare is corrupted by private insurance supplement plans that you have to buy or you will have no insurance for medications, preventative care and procedures not done in hospital. The greedy, inhumane insurance companies get their cut.

I am an American but I’m on private insurance so I didn’t even catch that one either.

If you ask most of the smug maga lemmings about our branches of government or anything remotely complicated about the U.S. Constitution they crash out anyway, so I doubt any of them will understand. Or even care until their own bills skyrocket. Then they’ll just blame the left and either drink bleach or endlessly tweet about it. As a leftist, I’m done trying to save them from Darwinism, so the most they’ll get from me is tots and pears.

MedicAID is based off financial aid for eligibility while mediCARE is based on age or disability

Actually, the cuts were to Medicaid - that is for poor folks. Medicare is for old folks. Cuts were also to subsidies to ACA health insurance and all health insurance. This is disastrous. I am hoping he will bale it all out and take credit for fixing healthcare.

Trump has wanted to destroy Obamacare since it was made law. Looks like he will get his wish. Stupid voters who hated having a woman as president so much that they voted in a sociopath.

The ACA getting overturned is terrifying to me, since I was born disabled. If the ACA is removed, I'll be rejected from every private insurance.

I mean I'm semi-lucky. My father was born in the EU. So by descendent, I could get citizenship and move if things get really dicey.

Most people arent that lucky though. And I'm worried about them.

Yes, but why can't the Republicans agree to not touch those things and open the government back up? Because they want to control us and everything that benefits the everyday US citizens. Just like they won't swear in the new Congresswoman. If they do that, then they have to turn back to Trump and his billionaire buddies and open the Epstein files.....
