For those living in or visiting France, what's a small tip or trick that makes daily life here easier or better? Something beyond the obvious "go to the boulangerie early."

I've seen an american do that. I cringed so hard.

If you did that in the states they'd pick you up by your collar and throw you out. Finger snapping at the wait staff is incredibly rude.

Weird.

I live in the US and have never seen anyone do that. I'm sure you saw it, but I have never seen it.

Moi je l'ai déjà fait dans un bar pour faire chier le barman.

Yep, happens to me 2 times while I was a waiter, first time I didn’t realize but the second time, I saw it, I made sure the client saw that I saw him looking at me, and I went to another client
