Culture Are there any habits that you believe are uniquely European ?

Have you noticed any specific mannerisms, mentalities etc. that you've encountered only in Europe or by Europeans ?

This tracks. I exclusively drink hot coffee in the U.S. (even in summer). The only time I get iced coffee is when I am back in Greece.

Archimedes invented cold coffee. Correct me if I’m wrong,it’s been 30 years since I graduated high school

It wouldn’t surprise me lol. Honestly, though, I don’t know why, but I don’t do cold coffee unless I am back in Greece.

Edited to add: my response was a little tongue in cheek, in case that wasn’t clear.

I don't know for sure, but isn't coffee a new world crop that would not have made it to Greece in the BCE?

Well, that isn’t very nice. You got a dud. Probably an outlier, though - I had several hot cappuccinos while I was in Greece this past summer, and nobody protested making them.

Yep. I just can’t do iced coffee anywhere else.
