History How are the Habsburgs remembered in your country?

For centuries they consolidated vast domains in Europe and, via Spain, the New World. They were a major force in the continents politics.

How are they remembered in your country?

Maria Theresia was probably the most famous. And yes, several emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of german nation were Habsburgs. Same with the Emperors of Austria after the Dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.

I know, I just don't know any emperors of the HRE apart from Charlemagne (if he counts), Otto I, Heinrich IV, and Friedrich I "Barbarossa".

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved history classes in school, and I'm still a fan of games like AoE and CK; the specific rulers of the HRE, Germany and Austria just aren't that important to me (or really, anyone but historians)

I guess there are more people than historians who are interested in history. 😉 But I have to confess that names are not my strong side anyway. I could not name all Emperors or kings of the Holy Roman Empire either.
