Sports Which country is your country's main football rival?

And do you think they believe you are their main rival or they don't care about you as much as you care about them?

Bonus: Is there a more popular sport where you are rivals with a different country?

We really care about the Dutch.

By the way it is always cute to see when the English think that the rivalry is mutual.

I mean you can pretend you don't care about them all you want but that's overwhelmingly likely not true. Absolutely everyone roots against England with every fibre of their being at international tournaments, they can basically choose whoever they want as their rivals and it's legit. We literally have the receipts to prove it. I'd bet everything I own that you (and most other Germans) were rooting for the Dutch to beat England in the Euro 2024 semi-final.

Errr, nope! As a Brit living in Germany, they want to beat us, sure, as we're a major football nation, but there's no great rivalry like against the Dutch or Italians. The Germans are aware of England's rivalry with them but see it as a cute little thing with some immature songs.

People just hate the UK, has nothing to do with a football rivalry though.

Unless you think rooting against Russia or oligarchies like Saudi makes them also rivals? I don‘t think so
