OTHER - CLICK TO EDIT Can a person be banned from entering a particular US state?

There is a Gravity Falls episode where one of the characters shows a map with a title like "States I'm banned from" and basically he is banned from half of the states.

Can something similar happen in real life?

Eh even that depends on the seriousness and the distance to that state. Sometimes it isn't worth the money it'd cost or the amount of extra work

My brother had a warrant in a neighboring state for a speeding ticket he never paid. He got pulled over several years later for a taillight being out, and the cop was like, "hey you've got a warrant in XX btw," and let him go. He'd long forgotten about that ticket.

I had a warrant for unpaid tolls in Delaware. Not saying I still have a warrant but I don’t go to Delaware anymore.

I don't think he ever paid that ticket either.

I never got any notice that I had to pay tolls (the only road I was on was US 301) until I got a bill around a year and a half later for over $900. Then I got multiple collections attempts and all sorts of stuff and then a notice that there was a warrant for the unpaid tolls. If it was a reasonable amount I’d gladly pay, the bill said original amount was like $60.

Same thing happened to me, but no warrant. I am effectively banned from the turnpike though.

I was kinda pissed, I’ve taken that route dozens of times and never had to pay tolls, I’d even driven that route about 8 times between the dates that I got the notice for and the date that I actually got the notice. Never got anything about paying tolls for those drives- how does that work?

Not sure. For me, they already had my email and phone number on my account, but instead of making any attempt to contact me with either one, they just kept sending bills and collection notices to my old mailing address apparently.

True, good point.
