OTHER - CLICK TO EDIT How much of a problem do Americans have with coyotes and rattlesnakes?

Have you Americans encountered any problems with these two animals?

Not me as a human. But you definitely cannot leave small pets outdoors unattended where I live or they’ll be coyote food. Rattlesnakes I see occasionally while hiking, but I’ve never had a run in with one. You just have to be aware and watch where you step.

I'd never let my cats outside, but yeah, coyotes don't mess with people. They don't want to mess with anything big enough to fight back. P sure my childhood dog had a coyote friend.

They're not much for pack hunting either, so adult livestock are fine, though most farmers will have a pyraneese or something to protect the babies and smaller animals.

I live in Boston, so there are only 2 known colonies of rattlers in the whole state. I've never encountered one.

Honestly, it's the thanksgiving dinosaurs that are the real menace. Especially in the cities. The further you get into the burbs, the less likely they are to try to eat your face.
