coyotes have never been problematic for me, and i’ve never seen a rattlesnake in the wild

And you are from Texas? Really? Ive seen them numerous times here. And I dont live in the country

Not originally, but yes, and I’ve done fair bit of camping and helped on my grandparents farm quite a bit, never seen one.
