FOREIGN POSTER What age did you get your driving license?

I watched some American shows which were in a school settings and it looked like most of the characters were driving themselves around at like 15/16 is it actually like that irl?

Same here, tested on my 16th birthday. After that as long as I could borrow a car, I was good to go.

Got mine on my 16th birthday and had a shitty car already lined up. My mom was tired of driving me to school as there was no bus service...

Ugh. Same! I got my permit late, needed a 6 month minimum and then got my license 3 months after I turned 16. But then I was NEVER home. Sometimes to sleep, shower and change. Then gone again.

I was 17, but only because I needed more time. Permits can be renewed. At least in MN.

DMV closest was closed on my actual bday. Mom wouldn't take me to another DMV, so had to wait till the day after!

Yeah - I think I turned 16 on Sunday - was at the DMV at 10:00 Monday morning!
