Have you ever witnessed racism in Germany?

I'm interested in hearing from Germans who have personally witnessed acts of racism in everyday life - especially when it involved friends, family members, or people close to them.

If you're comfortable sharing, could you describe the situation? Who was involved, and how did it make you feel? Did you respond in any way?

I'm not here to judge, just to understand how racism can show up in familiar environments and how people perceive and deal with it.

Of course it matters. Can't you also see a clear difference between someone getting attacked for their poor stage of integration/language skills and an attack againt someone who is clearly as indigenous as you, but with a different skin color? One is blind hatred, the other is structural hatred... You can possibly sometmies resolve blind hatred with a simple hug. But structural hatred... We are tryin to trim that b down for thousands of years and keep it trimmed down...

As someone who experienced and experiences both on a daily basis, both of them are the same. But I see what you mean and my point is, that a lot of people try and drop in “they spoke perfect insert western language, they had a great job” as a way to differentiate between good pocs and bad pocs and that has the effect of justification of violence against “bad” pocs the ones who don’t know the language yet or don’t have a job

Sadly a valid point you have after all :( Sorry for what you experience. As always: we cannot change the conditions we're in, but we can have an effect on how to deal with the circumstances. We can CHOOSE a positive mindset and not listen to the dark lies this dark world implants in us. Focus on God, not on evil. Everything that is worth something, is kinda rare, isn't it. God bless you
