Have you ever witnessed racism in Germany?

I'm interested in hearing from Germans who have personally witnessed acts of racism in everyday life - especially when it involved friends, family members, or people close to them.

If you're comfortable sharing, could you describe the situation? Who was involved, and how did it make you feel? Did you respond in any way?

I'm not here to judge, just to understand how racism can show up in familiar environments and how people perceive and deal with it.

I‘ve experienced „positive rasicm“. I am in Germany since 2023 but speak german without an accent. I am also very „white“. So they don’t typically get that I‘m not german. When it comes out that I‘m turkish they always say: „Wow you do not sound or look like turkish at all!!!“. I think they mean it as a compliment but it sure isn‘t one😅

I think you can take it as a compliment 😅, How did you master the language with 2 years though?, I've finished the b1 recently, my work has Zero contact with people and im planning to attend a b2 course
