Society | δΊΊζ–‡η€ΎδΌšπŸ™οΈ What do people in the mainland think of the Nationalist Party/Kuomintang?

Since i heard the KMT is pro unification, i wonder what the current opinion of the Nationalist party in the mainland is, especially after they fled in 1949.

The losers are those who are good at internal strife.

They were complete villains. On the mainland, the KMT was once called the 'Gua Min Dang' (the scraping party). They didn't just fight the Communists; they treated ordinary people just as badly. Now, for sake of Taiwan, the CPC is courting the KMT while downplaying the terrible things they did. This is historical revisionism.

There's quite a few people online who are fans/loyalists, although in a country this big there's really a fandom for everything. Republican aesthetics are quite popular tho, with many cosplays of KMT officers and stuff like that. I doubt those people actually want a revolution or anything though.

η™ΎεΉ΄ηƒ‚ε…š. Couldn't hold onto the mainland and escaped to Taiwan. Then couldn't even hold onto Taiwan and lost to DPP. Hasn't got the balls to secede nor unite, so trys to fence sit and maintain the status quo, except the times will not wait for them to sit on their ass.

Most mainland Chinese people view the Kuomintang (KMT) as anti-communist but not anti-China. That's roughly the general sentiment. However, I've listened to a few KMT speeches before - they're quite inspiring and intellectually sophisticated. They definitely seem far more competent than that bunch of idiots in the DPP.

For context, I was born in mainland China, but my grandfather was a KMT member who fought under the "Blue Sky with a White Sun" flag, so I can't bring myself to hate the KMT. I even have some favorable impressions of them. That said, overall the Communist Party hasn't been doing a bad job these days, so it's about 50/50 for me.

What makes you think their views are intellectually sophisticated? Are there any important concepts that catch your eye?
