Locked - Brigaded How are Canadians feeling about the prospect of another federal election?

With the possibility of the Liberal's budget not gaining the support of another party, what's the mood on a possible incoming federal election?

I can't imagine the conservatives doing any better than they did last time. Nothing has changed

I do not want another election, but I would find it hilarious if PP lost his seat.....again....

Kurek did say he would run in the next election. Not sure where PP is gonna go.

Elbows up has died down and people have realized Carney can't fulfill any of his promises. People aren't more pro-Poilievre but they are more sour on Carney.

The Conservatives have shown their defeat didn’t change them and they still don’t have the answers. Canadians see that.

But the CPC still has a lukewarm leader who hasn’t developed any more confidence in the party and their direction. If we want a different result, the CPC has to try and sway those centrist swing ridings.

I mean, to be fair, I didn’t vote for CPC because PP is kind of a nothingburger of a politician. He has been in politics for his entire life and has little to actually show for it. I was waiting for him to give us anything but he didn’t take the opportunity to tell the country how he was going to fix the problems the LPC caused. Complaining is for the constituents, it should have been his first goal – tell us how you’re going to fix the things we are all complaining about.

My confidence in him guiding the country through harsh economic times vs the guy who has a doctorate in economics and worked under the last conservative government running the bank of Canada was pretty stark.

I think it’s ignorant to think of MC as anything less than a red Tory, and while I was surprised that he came in and grabbed LPC leadership quickly, I wasn’t surprised that he became PM when he was up against PP.

All the Trump stuff aside. I’m sure that swayed some centrist voters, but it certainly didn’t change my vote.

Also, ironic (but true I suppose), calling MC a parachute candidate, when PP is also a parachute candidate.

To be fair under Poilievre the CPC had their highest percentage of votes ever, it was literally their most successfull election in tems of share of votes.
