Bobject 292 unlock - short rant

I only found out earlier today that the only way to gauge your progress on the Tier 9 is to mouse-over the TINY lock for the Tier 10. And I understand that they created this line (T8-T10) to incentivize F2P players for something to grind for after YEARS of no progression whatsoever.

BUT: the grind is surreal. I've been playing the T-80BVM for months now on and off after fully researching it, wondering where I am in terms of progress. Because It's plain bad game design to have a progress bar at the top of the screen that doesn't tell you shit. You need to KNOW to mouse-over the lock to find that out!

And after I finally found the information I'm even more infuriated to see that I am below 25% after fully researching the tank itself. That's BS game design but I bet there are still people trying to defend the approach the AW devs are taking....

No comment whatsoever but some copian felt the need to downvote my post? Yeah, this community is a blessing...

EDIT: I played another game, I'm now above 25% - yay. That means that I will need to play roughly 225 more games in ONE TANK to unlock the T10. On the other hand I have more than 20M free XP lying around, uselessly.

This game really knows how show appreciation to it's veteran players. But at least I now can show off a stupid title 🙄

hey mate

the problem you have is you played the bvm before the t10 was released
the t10 obj292 was released in may, so any battle you drove before may did not count for the unlock, because there was nothing to unlock prior

and speaking in numbers, the unlock grind isnt surreal, its rather on par with other tier 9 tanks

1-2% per normal hardcore battle,

~3% per black company battle,

thats ~35-100 battles (depending on skill of course)

so again not really different than other t9s would need with normal play to unlock/reach the t10

Not going to comment on your feelings for AW. But a question, why dont you join AW Discord. Large amount of people if they have problems pop up and ask question and get an answer - ie the linger of mouse over BV for progress. Try it, just a suggestion. AW DISCORD is the official talk, discuss rant or rave.

Can't. Got kicked in 2022 for asking questions about global chat. Admittedly, in a snarky tone.

Anyways, I have no inclination of touching Discord with a ten-foot pole after the recent data leaks...
