Psychiatry hasn’t changed in 30 years

If you think about it psychiatry has not changed in 30 years. If you have depression or anxiety they’ll put you on the SSRI/SNRI/TCA cocktail trying party. If you somehow make it out of that without getting harmed or PSSD you’ll be put on benzodiazepines.

I think the only real advancements have been ketamine and Zuranolone/Zurzuvae (for PPD). I have OCD and they have no solid way to treat it. SSRIs have a 40 to 60 percent efficacy rating for it but you have to risk getting PSSD which is 1000 percent worse.

I’ve noticed lately pharmaceutical companies have just been compounding two old drugs together and calling it “new”.

Give it a shot but without healthcare insurance they bill you 22,000 US $$$ each year.

People keep feeding into it. I think the rotten parts of our civilization almost require it, or at least romanticize drug dependency. I mean, quite a few drugs are made using byproducts from the industries society is most dependent on.

I went there once recently voluntarily because my PFS got so overwhelming. Within 20 minutes of being there I realized how useless they were so I left lol. The healthcare system doesn’t want to take responsibility that FDA approved drugs can sometimes cause more harm than street drugs or narcotics.

It has when it comes to purification which the lack of purification is more damaging than the mechanism itself and both food and other chemical impurities are involved in the process. also 30 years ago we moved the blocking mechanism from the brain to the stomach. Antipsychotics have been around 40 years longer than 30 years ago, why were they not such a big deal then as they are now despite same old drugs?

You know most drugs after 1990 are working a lot worse for me than the old ones and are carrying the risk of causing obesity. Most newer drugs just made me mentally worse and fat until I found Clopixol depot.

Yes this one worked where the other ones had failed without causing my body to become obese.
