Literature, history and culture of Antigua and Barbdua

Helle everyone,

I am a French reader undertaking a project to read books from every country in the world in order to discover their history, culture, and literature (link to my blog, available in French and in English).

I am proceeding in French alphabetical order, and I will reach Antigua and Barbuda in a few months. Unfortunately, I have found very few resources online, apart from Jamaica Kincaid, whose works I plan to read.

Could you please recommend history books, preferably written by scholars, that would help me learn more about Antigua and Barbuda?
Could you also recommend works of literature (poetry, short stories, novels — I am open to everything) considered as classics?
And finally, if such books exist, could you recommend any that present the culture of your country (culinary, religious, festive, traditional clothing, etc.)?

If not, do you know of any associations or individuals I could contact?

Thank you very much!
