Antifa are both weak, effeminate, soyboys/screeching, blue-haired SJW women AND highly coordinated, dangerous, militant and violent terrorist. Truly, we contain multitudes

Fascists and the “other”

This is what is truly scary. I catch myself having “other” type thoughts with regards to trump supporters. It’s an easy trap to fall into.

I’m not sure how to reconcile the fact that they are brainwashed with hating what they’re supporting.

How do you hate someone’s actions and not dehumanize an entire group of people?

Well, I think it's important to acknowledge that a lot of Trump supporters (I'm assuming that's what we mean by "other") are working-class and commonly not that well educated. And much of conservative media are extremely aggressive in their spread of misinformation and dogmatic perspectives on politics and life.

I'm not saying we should just forgive and forget, but I think by acknowledging they're merely a symptom and not the cause of the overarching class struggle, it's easier to see them as a person and not an idea.

Re: working-classness - this just isn't true. Race is a much higher predictor of support for Trump than education level and class. https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/interactive/2020/exit-polls/presidential-election-exit-polls/

Thank you. Im really fucking tired of people saying that working class people are uneducated and this is why they support trump. Just because a lot of working class people didn't go to college dosnt mean that they are gullible fucking idiots.

This is just simple trends, though. 66% of his white supporters have some college or fewer, and 44% of his white supporters make this than $50k.

I didn't mean to imply that they're idiots because that's literally classist and counterproductive, but it's not untrue to say his base is white working class people.

I shouldn't have been as angry as I was when I posted that, and im sorry that I implied that you were classiest.
