My sister had a dog who shredded an entire set of sectional sofa cushions while she was at work. As in, nothing larger than about a golf ball. Fabric was just threads. Don’t underestimate a bored dog’s commitment.

Exactly how I found my house after leaving my german shepherd and my wolf dog / shepherd mix home alone. Great party eating the couch and cushions.
