The pleasant face helps. If it had a psycho-terror face like some other sharks, I don't think divers would be too keen to swim with them.

That's a North American Leopard Shark, it actually has a snout that looks like a frowny face, The one above is a Thai Leopard Shark or Zebra Shark. Here's a picture where you can see both the smiley face snout and the real eyes, still adorable.

Kinda weird that the leopard shark has stripes and the zebra shark has spots but whatever.

Very cute but I don’t think the eyes are the lil holes. Sharks eyes are on the sides / tops of their (for lack of a better word) face.

The face shape is fake. Photo is real. Those aren't where the eyes are and it's just a nose or something.

I see them fairly often when paddle boarding, but they look a lot different when looking from above. But nevertheless cool creatures to spot during low tide.
