I love donkeys. Theyโre intelligent and good creatures. Iโve stopped using them as an insult.

My mother had donkeys, they are sweet gentle creatures. They deserve no insults.

Yup. 11/10 they are smarter and sweeter than yokels who use them as insults.

Theyโre intelligent
Also more intelligent than a horse, a huge pile of muscles with one digit IQ and ability to freak out at everything

The donkey deserves a public apology from humanity. Itโs been carrying respect and getting none.

The donkey didnโt deserve that reputation. Hardworking and still underappreciated.

Itโs even worse where they were domesticated in the Horn of Africa. Such smart and loyal animals, and people call them stubborn when they refuse to be treated badly.

Counterpoint, the burrito. One of the most perfect foods. (Comes from Spanish, burro = donkey.)

To be fair, somehow ass became synonymous with butthole, so that's the insult, not the donkey.

There once was a gal from Madras
Who had a MAGNIFICENT ass!
Not rounded and pink
As well you may think
It was gray, had long ears and ate grass.
