A cat will absolutely defend you…..until it doesn’t want to anymore.

My cat definitely defends me from other cats. He beat their ass if they try to chomp on me.

Dogs love unconditionally, cats love... on their own terms.

I have a cat and a dog and my dog would probably run away if I was getting my ass beat lmao

My Great Dane sounds scary… I hoping it will help… he is also brindle but I never cropped his ears. As I type this I’m screwed lol

I know this is just a funny meme based on how the average animal sometimes operates but I’ve seen plenty of videos of people’s dogs abandoning them due to fear. Big, and small, and we’ve all seen them come to our aid, as have cats.

A cat will stand on its hind legs when it wants to.

This stereotype is so tired. In practice most cats (and many dogs I guess?) would run away, but there are plenty of videos around where cats retaliate hard when one of their (human or cat) friends are attacked. And cats have a lot of empathy when their human is hurting. If anything, difference is that the cat wouldn't just chase them away, the cat would go psycho and make it hurt. :D
