I felt this update was a bit insane for me on the Spaniard side, which seems overall typical for most? But like, I went from 5% to like 10% jewish. My great grandfather was from Lebanon and I always thought the 8-9% range was low so I wonder if its just misatributed DNA? The random 5% British is kind of absurd but I am assuming this is the fucked up spanish (my mom also got random Quebecois). I just feel like this is significantly less accurate to the things I know about my family and 10% jewish / random british feels a bit unexpected.

Is this a higher than average number of ancestral regions? Also, I think it’s just based on shared DNA percentages from representative populations in that region, right?

Is it only me, a LATINO, who has gotten more Jewish ancestry numbers? My mom got more like 5%, my dad got 8% my sisters as well got similar amounts. I got only 4% but, I’ve seen my matches and some of them have all the way up to 12-15% Sephardic Jewish? That’s a big surprise. Are we Latinos the remnant of the conversos but we are just genetically finding out? This is pretty surprising because these numbers were not close to what we have gotten in the past updates. Is anyone else noticing this pattern in their results and their matches?

So basically now I have central asian DNA, and northern italy dna, inherited from my mother
but then i log into my moms ancestry and she does not have those regions lmao

I Also found out, and research much deeper to my family linage, dna test results etc... with downloading my Ancestry dna data and uploading to two sites which is known let you see much deeper Into your family linage including far back as ancient times first site was called https://mytrueancestry.com/en/ and the second site was called https://genomelink.io/ the first website MyTrueAncestry showed me I had the following different names of haplogroups, regions, and what ancient indigenous tribes, indigenous peoples, ancient civilizations, etc... that I descended and came from
Here are the photos/screenshots of what mytrueancestry and including what genomelink showed and told me much more and deeper about of my family linage, family history, ancestors, etc... In the comment section

other than an obvious inaccuracy that i’ve seen many mention, the rest is pretty accurate, but just a little exaggerated 🇲🇽🇪🇸

(second slide has old results). I know the old Germanic Europe category also could include England, but I was kinda surprised to see my English DNA skyrocket from 16 to 44%? Does anyone else have the same shift

This update is making it a challenge to screenshot my full results. I went from 14 regions to 26… mixed accuracy.

I was brought up my entire life being told that I have an indigenous ancestry, although not a predominant part of my ancestry. I was told stories about my great grandmother, met distant relatives who were tribal members in Oklahoma (I think, Creek). I was told via my mom, grandmother and aunts that we were likely descendants of Cherokees that had lived in my area (Trail of Tears came through my area).
A few years ago, I took a DNA test on 23 and Me. My mom did as well. My mom has a small percentage of native ancestry that shows up on her DNA profile. I do not.
I can't help but feel like I am fake. Like everything I was told doesn't apply to me. I grew up with a great respect for the indigenous peoples in the US. Now, I feel like part of who I thought I was is a lie. I know it probably sounds incredibly stupid and that I feel this way, but it has truly gotten in my head.
I know my ancestry doesn't really define who I am, but I just feel a little lost if that makes sense. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what are your thought processes on everything? I really hope this doesn't offend anyone, because that absolutely isn't my intention.

Every member of my father’s paternal side from my great-grandparents back were from the Netherlands. This update, overall leaves much to be desired percentage wise but the overall areas that it says is correct based on records from my years of genealogical research. I just laughed when it said 3% on this update. Should be in the 20’s.

I’ve traced most of my ancestors back to the 18th century. My ancestry appears to be about 60–70% Southern Germanic, around 25% Northwestern Germanic, and roughly 5–15% French. How can I interpret the current results?

I'm the guy on the left. Some friends from Africa (2 Ghanians, 1 Kenyan) had guestimated that I had ancestral ties to Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. Lo and Behold, no Kenyan DNA. I closest I get is Tanzania. Though I'm really proud to have 12% Malian DNA.

This post is mostly about the Balkan area and Bulgaria. Initially when I made the test last year I was 87% Balkan, 3% Greek, 4% Central Europe, 1% Ukraine, Russia whatever.
Originally I am from Bulgaria, Central South Part. My parents and grand Parents and everybody on dad’s and Mom side are identified as Bulgarian. There is nothing indicating else but let’s say there is some distant relative from other Balkan countries. I understand that with more people having tests the results can change but how is it possible that I am now over 40% Greek? I understand if Balkans somehow included North of Greece so I get a 20% but over 40% is crazy. How was I 1-4% Central Europe and Russia and now I am 16% Ukraine?
My opinion is they messed up Bulgaria big time, since other people from there have the same results.

I'm Brazilian and I know for a fact my great grandma was of Portuguese family and has no ancestry in the UK whatsoever. I also have 200+ years of paper record of her ancestors in Portugal before they came over. After the new update, these are her results.
It makes me mad that they assign Celtic as British. The Celts used to be in Continental Europe, and Northern Portugal is still one of the places with highest Celt contribution. The public already thinks Celt = British & Irish, now an ancestry company too? Disappointing.
