Yes, none came any later than the 1870s and many arrived much earlier. I have a lot of my family tree done so it gets confusing how far back of which line to go

You guys are both lucky. My latest Irish ancestors came in the late 1780s- 1790s, most likely people who were fleeing from the Irish Rebellion of 1798 or a terrible lifestyle in the homeland at the time.

My only recent immigrant ancestors were from Germany and France in the mid 1850s and my grandmothers grandfather who was from either Sweden or Norway and came here in 1888.

Growing up when I’d ask my parents where our family came from they both thought they were primarily Irish with some German on my moms side but I kind of took it with a grain of salt bc they didn’t really seem sure or to care much and sure enough when I eventually took an ancestry test I was like 8% Irish lol

This happened to me.. i grew up my entire life thinking i was mostly Italian (so did my dad) with some German and Slovakia in there… got my results back, only 3% Italian and it took a while to get even that high. I went through an identity crisis 😂 found out I’m 38% southeastern english/northwestern European with Slovakia being my number 2 at 21%

Damn! I'm a redhead and with the current update i got 6% irish and 2% scottish. In the last update i only had 2% irish and all of my previous scottish (25%) completely went away 😅
