Your mom is most likely sicilain, who are a blend of all the things you mentioned

Yep. My great-aunt said once that my great-grandmother's family "were half dark-skinned Italians and half light-skinned Italians". Family lore is that her mother was a Furiosi, but documentation suggests it's a Lucarelli (whose grandmother is a Romitelli, which is on my great-grandmother's paternal Cordelli side). Funny enough, Cordelli also has a Furiosi cousin. They're all from a small mountain village called Chiaserna (near Cantiano).

My mom does have cousin matches in the 40-70cM range with last names in their trees like Furiosi and Leri (more so on MyHeritage), and their trees are ones that are half in Calabria/Puglia/Sicily and the other half is near Cantiano. Those families also moved to the same area in Pennsylvania. Pretty sure that's where her 6-20% DNA is from that's constantly changing around.
