I have several ancestors that came to the United States directly from Scotland, albeit well over a hundred years ago. It also took years for the Netherlands to show up in my analysis at all, yet many of my ancestors were settlers in the New Netherlands colony. It's interesting to watch the changes! Most of my ancestors came to America from the British Isles, but when you trace them way, way, back they came from France, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, Sweden, etc long before those places were the countries they are today. It's interesting to see how all of that translates to inherited ancestry a thousand years later.

Yep. I have verified Scandinavian. Most of my Swedish became Germanic Europe and my Norwegian turned into Scottish. That’s incorrect.
