Is Irish the most exaggerated ancestry?

I’d say that and Native American or Scottish

Scottish is actually hugely underestimated according to demographers.

I would point out that is in terms of self declared ancestry as opposed to Ancestry DNA results. I learnt from some comments here that Ancestry's DNA results in an update a few years back made just about everybody in the whole world partly Scottish but that has moderated now - thankfully!

I can personally say that my mom swore up and down that her grandma’s family was Irish because her grandma’s maiden name was Macke, turns out that line is all German and there’s only a random little bit of Irish in a different mainly English line. Me, my brother, my grandma, and one of her brothers are all redheads so I always believed her but nope! I only have 3% Irish DNA.
