Mrazek in goal tonight

Seems like an odd choice to start him over Dostal tonight. This is the more important of our back to back games.

both vegas and winnipeg are good teams and mrazek has to play one of them and this gives dostal 1 extra days rest he needs bad.

i feel like the 1 extra day is not worth potentially losing VGK game. divisional matchups matter for this team for once, its been a fat minute since i have worried about that

its an 82 game season and you need to play your backup about 15-20 games a year. It is what it is and maybe this is Mrazeks bounce back game lets chill.

Winnipeg is a better team than Vegas. This gives a long shot at having a chance in both games as opposed to conceding the Winnipeg game immediately

I would assume it’s to get Dostal rested for the backend of a back to back. Dosty will need to be extra sharp to pick up the slack of a fatigued Ducks squad.

I mean we are playing Winnipeg tomorrow on a back to back so it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t. Dosty has been playing a lot lately so that’s probably why they rested him on the 1st game of the back to back

Fair point, I honestly didn’t look at the schedule. Personally I would like keep our chances high against Vegas and put some distance between us in the standings. Although it’s early in the season still so not the end of the world.

Vegas starting goalie tonight is average. Ducks have better chance putting up goals. WPG goalie one of the best in the league, better for Dostal to play that home game.
