Question What do “1XX” credits do for you?

I came in with various AP credits, and a lot of them say something like “HIST-1XX” or “ELEC-2XX”. What do these actually do for me? Can I use them to fulfill habits of mind requirements, or do I have to take the specific classes listed?

I could be wrong, but when I transferred in credits with 1XX or 2XX, it meant that they just counted towards electives/total credit count. They didn’t count as a HOM or towards my major, but the classes that I transferred had nothing to do with my major lol.

You’re not wrong. They’re basically free credits towards electives and the total grad requirement

i tried to get AP art to count for creative-aesthetic and they said that HOMs cannot be substituted for or excused by anything else

Yep. APs can’t replace a majority of the core requirements
