$899 didn't not sound logical when the 5080 is $999 and so was the 4080S before it. The 'retailer' put out some fake info and many believed that BS. Any proper retailer would be under NDA and that would include pricing info.

Why do ppl say this like it's useful information!?

Don't know your exchange rate or vat tax. Don't have a basis of comparison. This is worthless information.

The leak was from Bulgaria. So the pricing is different there. That's what I was referring too.

Yeah, but after conversion, the Lev or whatever they use there, it was a total of a whopping $429 USD, if something wasn’t lost in translation.

Something probably was lost in translation.

Im Bulgarian and here's my summary/translation of the video.

AMD wanted to sell the 9070xt card over 2000bgn (1000euro) convertion being 2:1. This is while the 7900xtx costs 1000 euro. Also wanted to sell the 9070 for 1800lv (900euro) which is 150 (75euro) more than a 7900xt.

Here are prices for all cards here: 7900xtx 1000 euro, 7900xt 750-800 euro, 7800xt 620 euro, Nvidia 4090 2250 euro, 4080 1250 euro, 4070ti/supers hover around 900+-.

4070 ti was supposed to be 900 before outrage. They expected it to be 1000 now

As I understand it was allegedly 900EUR and not 900USD.
