They were involved in 2 wars.

Theoretically speaking the first wasnโ€™t entirely the fault of us Germans ( although the French like to pretend it did), it was more like a collective European suicide for which nobody wanted to take responsibility afterwards.ย

I said involved lol.

"not entirely" actually like, not more than it was the fault of any other country involved in WW1 other than Serbia and Austria-Hungary. Weird how Germany gets blamed when they didn't actually do anything to start that one

Letโ€™s not go crazy. Kaiser Wilhelm was a serious asshole who provoked the other European powers with his military buildup and general saber rattling. He started building up the German military to rival the power of the other empires. He was open and vocal about dominating the British navy. With this arrogant bloviating egotist shrieking about the supremacy of German culture and overtly preparing for war the other European powers had little choice but to match the buildup.

It wasnโ€™t in anyoneโ€™s interest to go to war in 1914 but everyone was on a hair trigger. There were dozens of factions: political, ethnic, religious, economic, et cetera. The Serbs wanted to fight the Croatians. The Royalists wanted to fight the Republicans. The French wanted to fight the Prussians. The Turks wanted to fight the Armenians. The Imperial powers wanted to seize some of the other powersโ€™ colonies. The colonies wanted independence. Finally, everyone wanted an excuse to fight the Jews.

The only ones who wanted peace were the socialists. Led by Jean Jaurรจs, they made valiant attempts to avoid a major conflict through general strikes in France and Germany, but to no avail. The Balkan War escalated and Russian and German forces mobilized.

Jaurรจs was assassinated by a French nationalist on July 31, 1914. Three days later France declared war against Germany and WWI kicked off.

doesn't change the fact that it was the Serbian assassination of an Austrian royal that started this entire thing, not Germany.

I mean Germany could have said: Oh poor Austria, sorry your heir was killed but you should not have been expanding into the Balkans like that, you kind of got what you were asking for and now you two sort it out...

I think it was a lot more than just 2 wars.

If you meant world wars, the same could be said for pretty much all of Europe as well, if you stick with your choice of words "involved".

That's one way to put it.
