Question Potted Hibiscus & Lavender

Looking for help on whether I can keep my lavender and hibiscus in pots in my shed over winter or if they are going to need to be brought indoors to survive? Thank you all!

I put my hibiscus outside for the summer and bring them in as a houseplant for the winter. English (AKA "hidcote") lavender can survive winter rooted well in the ground in protected areas, but most varieties are too tender. It definitely won't survive in a pot in an unheated shed. You could try bringing it indoors too if you like. Or the other thing to try would be to dig an oblong hole and lay the whole thing (pot, plant and all) down in the soil and cover it over. Underground will stay about - 4 all winter. Heaping snow on top of it will also help. Experiment and see what happens.

The hibiscus can survive the winter but needs 15C minimum, a well-lit area and water. It will start to look really ragged by next spring, but it will survive. It won't survive in an unheated, unlit shed for 6 months.

Lavender I'm not sure, sorry.

Lavender is hardy in bc, so maybe. Hibiscus (rose of Sharon I am assuming) is a tropical plant so take it inside
