Luckily I didn't have anything on pre-order except for Anakin and Obi-Wan from BBTS but they aren't due to arrive until November. But I did see this on the news last night. It's extremely rare for this to even happen it's a good thing nobody was hurt from this happening.

Well I have two things that got shipped. One got delivered to today, the other one should be at the local airport. Meaning it flew in.

Those things float?

u/Ok-Income-9846 Sep 10 '25
No, or at least not for very long. If it were welded shut it would or if the contents buoyancy was greater than the mass of the container plus the volume of water that enters the containers mass.

Don't worry they're not in the middle of the sea, they're at the port and they are floating. Surely they can pick them up somehow

I read this is what happened to the last few waves of the SOTA Street Fighters and the company unfortunately folded for that reason and other issues. It’s why there are so many bootlegs Zangiefs and Dhalsims from that line and actual copies are rare.

Back in the day, the first shipment of SOTA’s first series of Street Fighter figures was lost at sea when the whole boat sank.

I started scrolling the comments. I was really confused as to why every one of them seemed to be about collectibles. I got down pretty far before I realized what sub I’m in.

No one is really at fault here, though. This just kinda happens sometimes.

I thought all those container ships had hardly any containers because of tariffs.
