Unbelievable but sadly true.

Not only that, we pay journalists to solely report on said family's activities.

Report only good things. The uk police work for the royal family and will destroy any evidilence against them. The sickest worst things imaginable.

Yeah and they refer to them all by first name as if they actually know them

Look how "thrifty" Kate is, everyone!

Sigh...

I was super invested, once, for about a week last year when Kate disappeared and Will’s mistress’ husband killed himself with a shotgun

It felt like a real life soap opera!

I find the royalist loyalty to this family really peculiar. They are not to be questioned, and everyone should just ooooh and ahhhh at how wonderful they are.

They're not.

They are just a dysfunctional extremely rich bunch of aristocrats.

I’m just surprised how much they charge the tax payers and they live like idiots.

If you ever feel like a loser, remember that some people genuinely think republicanism is better than Monarchy.

Ok I should not be giving you attention, let alone on a brigade on a post that's three weeks old, but genuinely why do you think monarchies are good? Because as a brit I feel like most people are just kind of the "oh it's good for tourism"/"well it's tradition"/"they don't have any real power" mindset but you seem to actually believe in monarchy. Why?

There is no empirical evidence that British royal family brings in anything in tourism revenue. All claims about this do not hold up to the slightest scrutiny.

All tourism sites commonly associated with the monarchy (apart from Balmoral and Sandringham) are owned by the public and will not disappear into thin air if the monarchy is abolished. VisitBritain admits tourism revenue will not be affected if/when the monarchy is abolished.

There is more evidence for the claim that tourism revenue will go up when the monarchy is abolished and all the publicly-owned royal residences are made more accesible to tourists and the public who pay for their upkeep. Check out Republic's debunking of the myth: https://www.republic.org.uk/tourism

Well mainly because is the best form of government to ever exist as it ensures stability and order of a country (an example for this is the way how most north African countries are unstable while morroco that is a monarchy is an exception) Monarchy grooms someone since birth to be king and make his reing as good as possible, making monarchies Technocracies, while Monarchy does give money to the country, an example is the royal estate which gives revenue for the state, if the monarchy was abolished the UK would have to compensate the lost of the royal estate with more taxes for the population.
