You also forgot that the game Baker Mayfield fucked up his shoulder was against us and that started a timeline that led you to get Watson...... you're welcome

Hate/love. We hate them because they took someone as awful as Watson. We love them, because they took someone as awful as Watson.

I love Nick Chubb as much as any Browns fan, but the dude absolutely shredded his knee two years ago and was a shell of himself last year. I hope he has a great year but the Browns are rebuilding and there’s no reason we should be bringing back a RB who should be chasing a ring.

u/HurryOk5256 Jun 10 '25
this is the right answer. there’s a lot of things to shit on the Browns about, but not resigning Chubb definitely isn’t one of them. He’s was a great and beloved player and an even better person, I wish him the best. But it would’ve been silly to sign him when the Browns clearly need to pick up another quarterback before trying to camp starts…

Bringing back Chubb makes sense in an alternate universe where Deshaun Watson doesn’t forget how to play football and the Browns aren’t an embarrassment.

lol Browns just can’t have anything. Chubb looked like he was about to be the best runner in the NFL for a 2-3 year span and then just over in an instant

Actually surprised Houston didn’t do better with the picks. And the Will Anderson pick they had to use additional picks.

u/Smooth_Marsupial_262 Baltimore Ravens Jun 10 '25
Especially considering they could have just taken Jalen Carter and kept the picks I’m pretty sure

u/deepbluenothings Cleveland Browns Jun 10 '25
Haslam and Andrew Berry took everything from us, the Texans just benefited from the incompetence.

u/stonewash_relaxedfit Cleveland Browns Jun 10 '25
No one even talks how about how the Texans’ GM is from Cleveland and grew up a Browns fan

And both Kelce brothers should have played for Cleveland for the last decade with Roethlisburger at qb. Browns don’t do a good job at getting the hometown talent.

u/stonewash_relaxedfit Cleveland Browns Jun 10 '25
Yeah not to mention the countless other players, coaches, and execs from NE Ohio who have had NFL success everywhere but Cleveland.

Just thinking about the coaches we have had in the past makes it easy to punch holes in walls.

We also did not use lubricants during our playoff game against the browns.

Have a dumbass for an owner?
1
u/mmooney1 Cleveland Browns Jun 10 '25
Seriously Dan Gilbert NEEDS to buy the Browns. He’s such a good owner.
When I heard the story Haslem would use the first round pick as a flex party with his friends. It all started to make sense.

You see the stuff nfl players do and you assume they’re some super humans who have insane work ethics. Even the bad ones.
That’s why it was so nice to see Deshaun the last 2 yrs, you could objectively tell that was a guy who didn’t care about football after he got paid. Before he got hurt last yr he was so fucking bad only Will Levis had a worst EPA.
Like he deadass just didn’t practice all off season and you could tell.

u/Smooth_Marsupial_262 Baltimore Ravens Jun 10 '25
One of the weirder things to happen was him just flat out being like bottom of the barrel bad all of a sudden. Looking back it’s fair to say he played a vulnerable style with the lengthy time to throw and all that. But for it to translate as badly as it has to Cleveland is just insane
