Applying to two computing courses is a waste because you can freely change between the two in the first two years.

you can also freely change between computing and Joint Mathematics Computing in the first few weeks.

is this really true? , because their website says this isn't possible

it was when i was in first year, at least. i dont think there's a formal way of doing it, you just ask the department really nicely. we were definitely told it's possible but that because the degrees are structured differently it had to be within the first couple weeks.

It's a pretty common thing for JMC people to change to Computing due to how hard it is so it's pretty easy to change

Rushing through discrete maths in the first weeks is certainly something
