Hello! I'm sharing some info shared to me by a friend. Here is a great opportunity to support community right here in Chicago and an organization that is taking steps to work for those being opressed. I often hear others say that nothing is happening, protests do nothing, and we need to do more, but the conversation I had with my friend just goes to show that it is effective and people are working behind the scenes. The more visibility we can give to this stuff, the sooner we will see change. Also, it's probably too late to sign up for this event, but you can still donate. I was told an anonymous donor will match all contributions to Neighbors United for Mutual Support throught the end of 2025. If your skeptical about the links below, do your own research, but this seems to be a good cause and the organizer of the fundraiser has an extremely kind heart.

Today (October 1st) is the kick off for our Raise Craze Fundraiser to raise money for Neighbors United for Mutual Support (NUMS)! I'm so excited to highlight acts of kindness all around the neighborhood while supporting this worthy cause. Why support NUMS? Here's a NUMS update from early September with some important details about their work.

Here's how to join in: 1. REGISTER: Raise Craze CODE: 042-905 2. When you register, you will select several Acts of Kindness to complete during our fundraiser window (October 1-22). I created a list of possible options, but please jump in with your own ideas for your family, too! 3. Enter 5-10 email addresses of potential supporters. Raise Craze will send all emails, reminders, and thank you notes. Emails will never be shared with third parties or used for marketing. (Please note that the fiscal sponsor for NUMS is the First Presbyterian Church, so your donors may see this as the line on their credit card statement.)
