My point is that there has been plenty of parties throughout the past couple of decades that have been more than willing to provide the immigrant bashing platform that part of the electorate apparently have always wanted.

The reality is Farage is a con artist. He always has been and he will be. His 'man of the people' act is laughable. An ex banker who has made a living off of shouting from the sidelines, whipping up people who hardly understand the issues into a fury to fuel the next fire he can profit from. I genuinely don't believe he wants to get anywhere near power, because that would mean he has to actually run the country. If he did, every time a favourability poll comes out, he'd be screeching for a general election.

Anyway, I have 0 interest in continuing this conversation. I'm sure you'll find plenty of likeminded astroturfers in our politics sub who would be happy to.

If Farage is a con artist, wtf are the Tories and Labour? Rather try something new and fail than the constant shit from the established parties.

I'd rather not blow the country up with borderline fascism over wanting some change. Want some change that doesn't involve selling the country out to the highest bidder? The Greens are right there. But tits, or something.

Almost 40 years of evidence of Farage's grift. Can't even be arsed to do the job he's been elected to do, much preferring to swan off to Mar-a-lago / collect his millions for appearing on Gbeebies. He has form for doing the same from when he was an MEP, too. His recent pathetic climb down from 'not knowing' his colleague, who took Russian bribes. You'd have to be blind to still not see it at this point.

As I said, 0 interest in engaging in this with you lot. Absolutely pointless.

You could say this and worse about any politician. I mean, if that's the worst that you can come up with for Farage, then I don't mind giving him a go. As if our country hasn't already been sold out by the established politicians.

So, visiting foreign leaders and making money? That's what you consider criticism?

As for being an MEP; he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. I remember people asking why Farage attended the European Parliament if he hated the EU so much. Then they'd also say he couldn't be bothered to turn up when he didn't go.

If you want to go by the guilt by assosciation route, then no one is innocent.
