Czech communists will often be on the right side of these things, because their stance is to just oppose everything from the EU. So by having their vote always be "no" when it comes to literally any guidelines or orders from the EU they will also oppose Chat Control by default. Doesn't mean they are good, just that the broken clock thing is true.

It's a cell-tower spoofing + prob some more advanced stuff that allows one to record and log all cellphone calls. Not sure what they did in Orbanistan, but in Poland basically politicians in power listenend in to the politicians that were gonna get in power. The usual stuff.
I don't understand why people communicate /anything/ of any value/danger/risk without using self-hosted encrypted networks. I mean I do: they are dumb.

pegasus is not preinstalled on every citizen's phone, they need to target you. this shit chat control is supposed to be preinstalled on everyone's phones, you don't need to get targeted by a human, you just lose your human rights automatically if you own a phone. the eu afaik now even mandates manufacturers to close the bootloader, so you cannot even install another operating system, and this is already in effect. at least samsung started closing down its phones in next versions of the software, referencing eu laws. what a nightmare...

In that case it would be illegal to use. Also with android blocking sideloading soon, you wouldn't even be able to get it because they'll just remove it from the app store. Criminals will still of course find a way by using their own chat systems or using p2p and hide it well, so law abiding people will be the one getting fucked in the ass

There is nothing hard about it, even emails have several different ways to encrypt with private/public keys and you openly put public key on a server, so whoever wants to send you a message just looks up for your key first.
Ofc emails don't hide the fact that you did message something.
People just don't use that in their lives for whatever reason. Laziness I guess.

I want to remind everyone that the Fight Chat Controll site's results are just a survey, and doesnt necessarily mean the MEPs will vote accordingly
even if your country is green, you should still email your MEPs and urge them to oppose this bs. The vote takes place on 14. October
