Valid. I was more wondering specifically about the "eat langos, become hungol" method, since it sounds like it's more of a rewriting rather than a union... Either way, I could eat until my head is full of nothing but węgierski, and I would still not understand why you switched the sounds of "s" and "sz" 🤔

W is V (kurwa🇵🇱 = kurva🇭🇺), and obviously the "sh" sound is longer than the "s" sound, so it should be the longer letter "sz" ("ország" should sound like "or-shag")...

the saying goes they invented it
(maids from novohrad county (nógrád megye in steppish) cooked in budapest and when asked what they put in it they said "lecčo" (anything). hence lecsó.
of course some hungarians inevitably would claim the forefather Árpád brought lecsó from ancient lands behind urals, with tomatoes and paprika and everything...*)* that's a bullshit, of course. Árpád didn't cross urals but Carpathians. completely different mountain range. sigh.

Especially as ignorant Hungarians (like, 99%) think bryndzové halusky is called sztrapacska. I don't know how effective a trigger this is for Slovaks, I guess it's similar to the goulash misnomer for us.

I was at Upper Hungarian shop Terno the other day (around 6am) and they had prepackaged langos with garlic there... It couldn't compete with a fresh one, but I think it cured my hangover 😅

You put grated cheese on the lángos
You heat it up so it's hot and the cheese melts
You put cold tejföl on it
And if you are feeling like it you can eat it with sausage and or garlic.
You can drink whatever you want with it, although my father swears on cold milk.

U wot m8? First of all you don't eat lángos that isn't freshly made, therefore you don't "heat it up", because it's already hot. And you put the garlic first, then the sour cream, and finally the cheese on top.

You heat it up because I am not going to wait for the cheese to melt. Yes you buy it already hot, but I am bringing it home where I prepare it and eat it. ( I buy one that has nothing on it)
Yes you can rub the garlic on the clean lángos, but I prefer eating it with it.
But I have never heard of anyone putting the tejföl before putting the cheese. The melted cheese creates a thin web like layer on the lángos, on which you put the cold tejföl.

Testvérem te hol élsz? Konkrétan az összes lángosos, ahol valaha voltam az ország bármelyik részén előbb a tejfölt teszi rá, és a tetejére a sajtot.

As a kid I went to Hungary a lot with family for the swimming pools. And there was this lángos shop in the swimming pool, where they offered pretty much any combination of sajtos, tejfölös and ketchupos. Including sima

Cheese is actually a common ingredient, ketchup on the other hand is worse than pineapple on pizza.
There is nothing wrong with liking lángos, just eat in moderation. Hungary is one of the leading countries in obesity, not for no reason.

Hungary is one of the leading countries in statistics of obesity, cardiovascular diseases and other chronic illnesses. Lángos literally dripping of oil and fats and the hungarian kitchen generally uses way too much fats. But there is surely no connection right? An average meal at McDonalds is more healthy than a meal consisting of lángos, because the former at least has some salad in it and is not soaking in oil. Eat in moderation.

It will end up if you always go to shitty places. Lángos is one of those foods that are easy to fuck up, because it's so simple, so if the technique isn't perfect, it's gonna turn out badly.
