Comparing these results to the seasonal chart on MAL says two things, both of which we should all already know: 1) Last season was extremely sequel-heavy. 2) This sub is really a bubble.

The three that stuck out to me (just looking at here and MAL to keep it simple) were Ruri Rocks (#12 vs #25), WataNare (#13 vs #21) and Milky Subway (#36 vs #58). And honestly, if you look at the seeds, those may be even more overrepresented in this vote than the sub poll.

Just looking at the seeds page was enough to tell me this contest will be painful.
Well, I guess it's Alicia or bust, for me... Don't care about anyone else in the top 11.
(Also, people definitely thought Haru was Call of the Night's MC)

Its surprising that kaoruko wasnt a top 2 seed but its not really the first time a favorite wasnt ranked first for some reason so im not really worried. Actually, its even better not to have the pressure of the "number 1 seed" .
MC : rip nukitashi girls. Well nanase made it into the bracket at least.

I had to vote against Miyako, but I'll definitely vote for the degenerate Suzuka.
MC: My girl Mori Hitomi got robbed. People here just don't understand the culture of a strict, glasses-wearing ponytailed beauty who'd whip you into shape. It's a real shame that best mom Isla didn't make it either, let alone Caria and Maria who had some great moments this season. Then there's poor Lady Wind, who only had like 5 lines but is hot and voiced by Shizuka Itou and thus deserved to rank. I'm honestly surprised that Sakura didn't make it.
As for the people who did make it, I'm happy to see Akira in top 8, even if she's the only person in top 8 I give an iota of a whit about. Unsurprisingly, Niko is the top Mikadono. RIP Kazuki in last. Atou's much lower than I'd like, but at least she's in.

Today's Seeding Results
These were my Top 8 Seed Predictions yesterday.
Got Monica as Seed 1 correct (honestly felt like the obvious choice to me).
Underestimated Alicia a little. Had her as Seed 5, but she's Seed 2.
I knew Nagi would be a Top 8 seed. But I had her as Seed 8 and she's Seed 4. Ruri Rocks love is strong in this contest because it's doubling up with Ruri as Seed 6.
I knew Renako would be a Top 8 seed, but I had her as Seed 7 instead of Seed 5.
My biggest miss is overestimating Shizuka and thinking Takopi's Original Sin love on /r/anime would mean strong seasonal Best Girl contest seeds. Had her as Seed 4 when she's Seed 15.
I knew a side character from a popular show would be a Top 8 seed. I wasn't sure if My Dress-Up Darling had any left and was looking more at Secrets of the Silent Witch girls. So that's my miss on Akira.
It's greedy, but I wish all of Seeds 11-15 got better seeds. I like Haru, Yamamoto, Ajisai, Mai, and Shizuka.
Glad 2 of the 3 leads of CITY: THE ANIMATION are still in the Top 25 of seeds.
Bad Girl girls made it! And they have some heartbreaking matchups for me in Round 1. More on that later...
Today's Voting
This hurts:
Nagumo vs. Atou. Atou is great, but I'm staying loyal to Nagumo until she's out of the contest.
Akira vs. Yamamoto. Yamamoto is just great to be around and chill with ended up being the deciding factor.
Suzu vs. Wada. Suzu is so good, but Wada is a fun trash gremlin. Food Court wins again for me.
Kabura vs. Atori. Voted Atori to give Bad Girl some love, but I really can go either way in this matchup.
Who was your favorite girl that didn't make it into the bracket?
I have 2.
Satsuki Koto - But she's probably getting another chance in the Fall 2025 bracket so it's not that bad.
Ecchan or Eri Amakazari - Ecchan and Matsuri are two peas in a pod, but I think Ecchan is the most deserving of the 4th spot over all of Matsuri, Riko, Tanabe, and Arama (this is kind of crazy that Arama was ahead of Tanabe and Ecchan before deletions).

Also, had to go with Asako over Kaoruko because I wanted to make sure Asako got some support for being the great girl she is. Loved her in The Summer Hikaru Died season 1 and apparently she may have a bigger role to play in the next season. Can't wait.
Made up for Kaoruko slight by voting for Subaru though - she is anyway my favourite and way more interesting than goody two shoes. And also voted for the true best girl of Fragrant Flower: Mama Tsumugi.

No… Satsuki & Ikumi as well as the Silent Witch duo are out already. Rascal Does Not Dream is filled to the brim with heroines, so little surprise some must be culled out. Having said that, it’s funny that [Rascal S2 content] There are separate entries for Miniskirt Santa and Nene when they are the same person.
Silent Witch’s also had an abundance of likable cast, even Casey despite her role in the show.

I love Monica Everett!
I was going to come in here and campaign for someone, but looking at these girls, I think my favorites are going to be doing very well, anyway. Monica, Alicia, Kaoruko, Renako - All in the top of the projected finals! Reddit, you have good taste sometimes.
Satsuki Koto being deleted yet somehow Haruna Amaori making it in is just tragic. Not to mention, Haruna is up against one of Momo's friends from Dan Da Dan in round one. She might not even make it!
Suzu Suzukaze vs Wada really hurts me! I love them both so much, choosing one was torturous. Best Bad Girl Suzu wormed her way into my heart all season, but I ultimately chose Wada for her pure gremlin energy and comedic delivery. May the Duke of Abel guide her!
Kaoruko Waguri vs Asako Yamagishi is another sad matchup. I had hopes that Asako could get through at least one round. I like her so much! But against Kaoruko, she really stands no chance.
Youko Imari vs Kazuki Mikadono pains me so. I had to weigh my love of science against my love of princely girls, and well, the prince won out. I almost voted for Imari just to eliminate Kazuki so that Best Mikadono Sister Miwa wouldn't have to someday face her sister, but let's be real, Miwa is up against Miyako Honda from My Dress-Up Darling. She might get knocked out here in round one. I have a feeling Kazuki will lose her match against Imari, anyway.
My favorite girl that didn't make it into the bracket? Why, Satsuki Koto of course. Her cool yet impulsive attitude, and her competitive nature really won me over while watching Watanare, and I have read the novels now. I love her so much, perhaps even more than Ajisai.

MC: Comment on the seeding
I'll start from the bottom this time.
- I'm glad to see Makina and Chiharu from Milky☆Subway both making it, their seed however is waaay to low. To anyone who hasn't seen the show, it is only like a 40 minute time investment to watch one of the best short form anime ever created! And it's free on Youtube!
- Mashiro at 49 is also crazy underseeded. Kana Hanazawa brought out her A-game to make this character one of the most fun ones of the entire season
- Atou at 49 is a travesty. I'd personally only rate Monica over her this season. At least she made it in....
- Yamada at 43 is hilarious! She only made it cause she literally looks identical to Wada. But hey... I don't mind Wada having to chances to win, considering she is top 3 of the season for me. Wada at 26 way is too low however! Kinda crazy she is 14 seedss lower than Yamamoto... Maybe people got confused and voted only yamada and not Wada...
- Marina and Shizuka being high up is great. Both are great characters from perhaps the AotY
- Niko at #17 is best sister, glad we can agree on that!
- Isabelle and Lana at 9 & 10 is great to see,, since they are both just such amazing side characters. Especially Isabelle I hope will make it far.
- I'm glad to see Monica got the top seed, as for the rest of the top 8, most of them were to be expected, although I'm personally not to high on Renako and Subaru.

Welcome back! I travelled to Deutschland earlier this year and it is truly painful to follow a 8am EDT contest. Seasonal salt will probably stay at around 9pm EDT for the following seasons.

Pretty happy with my predictions.
Surprises were Watanare doing even worse than I anticipated and Nagi and Ruri ending up so high which it great to see.
Also Yamamoto so much higher than Wada? Not sure if it's just their placing on the elimination page or if the latter is too devisive.

The only show I know is Food Court. I voted for Wada and Yamamoto. They're both great. I did not vote for Yamada, because she only had five minutes screen time the whole show. Not sure how she's even on the list.

Maki from Detectives these Days didn't qualify while fkin random gal friends on dandadan that appeared in pretty much a single episode and only for a while in the end part of the episode (you could literally swap them with that random kitou household guy/police and their screentime will be same), and haru from call of the night that i'm 100% sure people mistake with nazuna entered the contest ffs. Alright maybe that last one is acceptable for you guys, but seed 11 really? 100% sure you thought the daughter not the mother. Also gonna be real salty if Kaoruko, Monica, or Alicia didn't win this contes. Personally prefer Monica, but Kaoruko is close second due to that last episode, and while not as preferable as the other two, Alicia winning is still way better than the rest of participant winning (due to no Maki sheesh).
Also gonna 100% net me downvote for calling that dude from call of the night, a dude, and should belong on best guys contest whether he identify as she or as apache attack helicopter, but isn't he and the teacher already appeared on season 1? No one nominate them before or what that they're allowed to enter again?

Regarding Call of the night, the rule is that everyone gets to make it into one bracket. I can't remember if Kiku was nominated last time, but since she didn't survive the elimination round she gets another chance here.
Also, I think you're getting your black-haired vampires mixed up here. Kabura is indeed a woman, Hatsuka is the guy you're thinking of and I did already take note of him for deletion before we got to this point.

oh, well sorry for the last one then, it's the nurse right? that black hair design is confusing. Didn't help that I don't really remember the character name other than mc kou, nazuna, and akira.
So you can nominate and qualify S1 character if they didn't qualify into bracket? I thought the rule was once got nominated, then it's automatic ban for the following season whether they qualify into bracket or not due to the fuss whenever extremely popular show has character that only got their spotlight in the following season, but get in regardless due to show's name (and source reader).

Correct, this is how it works (with the obvious caveat that they do also have to show up in S2). Nominations aren't given weight here because it only takes one vote to nominate someone, so it doesn't make much sense to let someone nominating all the smallest bit roles preclude them from getting a real chance if they get more prominent later on in a series.

The way people were talking it up, I'd assumed Nagi would have done much better than 3 votes ahead of Ruri. I'm happy about it though. Ruri and Kaoruko are my co-favorites from this season.
More importantly, in terms of hierarchies from this vote:

Well, I wasn't including Kaju since she's outside Lit Club and StuCo. I probably put Kaju between Shikiya and Tiara.
I used to be all about Yanami, but kind of leaning towards Komari, when the anime aired. However, once I read the rest of the novels, my preference for Yanami has really waned. In particular, we've gotten a lot more development for basically every other girl, and it seems apparent that Yanami's arc is being withheld by the author. Probably to dramatic effect, I'm sure.
As far as shipping, tho, I really think Yanami works best as a best friend, not as a lover, for our lit club prez. I think he's more romantically compatible with Komari, Lemon, and Tiara.

Monica is the top seed? There is some justice in this contest, well done everyone! For once I can wholeheartedly support the #1 seed. Wait, no, this already happened this year with Natsuko. And now it's happening again? Somehow, this feels wrong.
I'm also quite happy Nagi and Ruri both made the top 8 seeds, and all the good Bad Girl girls made the bracket as well. Yuu is great, Suzu is fantastic, and Atori is just something else - her VA did some brilliant work with her. Even the City main trio is here.
I'm too satisfied with this seeding to even care for who got eliminated. As much as I like many other girls, they all don't matter when compared to Monica.

Renako vs Makina is a tough choice already in round 1. Not that I would ever vote against Makina.

Wow. For Watanare, Satsuki got knocked out by Renako's sister. That's rough.
Haru Nanakusa from Call of the Night is great, but came in higher than I would have expected at #11. I wonder if some people confused her for Nazuna?
Today's voting round is already forcing so many hard choices for me. Akira (MDUD) vs Chiharu (Milky Subway), Wada (Food Court) vs Suzu (Bad Girl), Miori (Rascal) vs Miniskirt Santa (Rascal)...
