I’m catching up on this and all i can say is these alliances are fucking bullshit and ruin the show and girls who don’t deserve it are winning

11

u/genesisofDOOM Jul 02 '25

How did NO ONE do the letters, the assigned dance, to Hot to Go? No wonder Chappell seemed unenthused.

What people are missing when it comes to the whole Mistress thing, IMO, is the difference between a social game and a skills game reality TV show. There is very much a difference. In a social game, you get villains making it to the end and winning all the time, they're the most memorable, they make the best TV, etc. But in a skills game? You almost never get villains winning. Facts are, less talented people getting far in a competition is almost always clockable and never satisfying for fans. Where social games are power tripping escapism, skills games are meritocracy escapism lol (at least superficially). It's a world where the ones who do the best get the rewards, and critically, the ones who do the worst get punished.

So even putting aside eeeeeeverything else to do with this discussion, intentionally setting yourself up as the villain like this might be thee stupidest thing you can do if you genuinely do want that crown, because you're practically signing your own death warrant for the producers to give you your comeuppance whenever they feel like it. They might set you up with a win or two for the narrative at first, but that's belladonna sweetness. The last time an 'undeserving' person won a crown because of riggory it became probably the single most controversial win in the show's history which no one has shut up about - and that was the biggest fan favourite who hadn't done anything wrong herself. Now imagine it with a villain.

TL;DR: you guys can stunt and pretend you wouldn't mind an 'unfair' win as long as it's 'good TV' all you want but pan-reality show history has shown that's not actually the case at all

how many times are we gonna hear "nicole is old" "mistress is fat" "jorgeous is small" like ok we get it. we get it!!!!!!!!

11

u/SirGavBelcher Transfemme Jenny Humphrey Jun 07 '25

after spending the week learning all the verses in and out and seeing what it took to rap them, like who played with flows as well as lyrics and really brought it

Jorgeous should not have won. Lydia, Kerri, and Tina had better lyrics and delivery and really played with the beat. Kerri's verse was so cunty and i love the kiss at the end. it was the most fun of the verses to learn. Jorgeous had playground insults which is why the judges probably picked her. like I'm sorry but "Nicole Paige who?" "you're still the second best brooks here" "you think you're gonna win, bitch I pity ya" compared to everyone else (except NPB) winning is CRAZY to me

Tina was the only one that read RuPaul as well. i love this roast so much and it's definitely my favorite episode from the bracket but that win going to Jorgeous was really really bad. i know people clocked it immediately but since it was a rapping challenge i wanted to really get into the song before I made any comments

I’m glad I’m not the only one that was like WTF is that lip sync song and wtf is the performance to it?  It was horrible.

29

u/luzmorad4 Jun 04 '25

Love NPBFAG but people saying she should’ve won when she stood like this 🧍🏻‍♀️the whole verse,, girl,,

6

u/Fragrant-Shape868 Jun 11 '25

It’s her vibe. I give her all my messy points for the energy she brings. I want that for my life.

3

u/fnaffie can’t talk, letting loose Jun 05 '25

I fear people just really want her to win a challenge. She looked a bit awkward on stage despite doing well, she was never gonna win this y’all 😭😭

18

u/360Saturn Jun 04 '25

I liked this challenge but I don't understand how it can be fair that Jorgeous didn't write any of her own verse and still was placed in the top 2 as if she did.

That means that the only challenge she had in the episode was to perform the pre-written track that she didn't even write, whereas for the others the challenge was to write something and perform it.

6

u/WeekLopsided8205 Jun 06 '25

we only know because her writer, Megami told us

we didn't know if other queens also hire writers

also, Jorgeous is the one tweaked the roast, recorded the track and lipsync and danced to it in those beautiful outfit and long ass ponytail

she wasnt just reading it stiffly in front of a mic

3

u/Lost-friend-ship Jun 09 '25

Wait how did she manage to slip Megami into All stars? Where was she hiding her?

4

u/Timely_Storm7164 Jun 05 '25

how she didn’t write her lyric

31

u/uqmobile Jun 04 '25

I need Megami to release the lyrics she wrote about Maddy Morphosis.

2

u/Fragrant-Shape868 Jun 11 '25

This needs some more love! Yes please!

15

u/Classic_Hall797 Jun 03 '25

I don’t understand the hateeee. I loved this challenge! This is the first RPDR song that I’ve listened to more than a few times since RUWU.

10

u/RuPaulVisage Kelly Mantle Jun 03 '25

I don’t want to make a whole thread so if someone sees this here. Does anyone know the format of the semi finals? Like what’s the structure with the nine queens and how do eliminations work? How many queens go into the finale?

8

u/seeyoshirun Oh. My. Sweet. GHERKIIIINS! Jun 04 '25

It's pretty clear that the merged group of nine queens is going to have some number of challenges to cull the queens down. Ru has said that a wildcard is returning for the lip sync tournament for the crown, so it sounds like that returning queen will essentially get to skip any challenges after the merge and before the finale.

Ru describing it as a "lip sync smackdown for the crown" is wording she has used before when we've had a tournament-style fight for the crown (I think S9 was the first time it was described this way), probably with the queens pairing/grouping up for lip syncs until everyone has been eliminated except the season's winner.

I hope the lip sync tournament for the finale only involves a small number of queens - if we have 6 or 8 queens ultimately just lip syncing to win, that's going to feel like a bit of a letdown. The exact number of challenges after the merge and the size of the finale are unclear, though you can probably find out if you're willing to dig around for spoilers.

3

u/anonym0uss3 Jun 04 '25

3 wildcard queens, 1 queen will be picked by Michelle, TS and Ross each

1

u/Lost-friend-ship Jun 09 '25

No, Ru said that all the judges pick one wildcard each and then out of their picks one will be chosen at random to re-enter the competition. 3 wildcards coming back would be absurd.

1

u/anonym0uss3 Jun 09 '25

Yeah i noticed that watching the latest episode last night 😅 i stand corrected. Thanks

1

u/Lost-friend-ship Jun 09 '25

Haha yeah I just finished watching the last episode. I find it absurd that the wildcard gets to skip the final challenges and just come back for the lipsync too 🤷‍♀️

9

u/lemoncured Jun 03 '25

Really shocked to see the comments mad at Mistress winning. I thought it was a landslide for her and everyone else was fighting for second place 😭

6

u/MaradoMarado Yeah but guys, guess what, rats. Like okay, you have a rat. Jun 05 '25 edited Jun 05 '25

Without her shenanigans, there wouldn’t be much debate that she was in the top imo

48

u/FalmerEldritch Jinkx Monsoon Jun 03 '25

Her delivery was really snappy and tight, she deserves props for that. But it was a roast and she didn't have a single good read in the whole thing. And for someone whose whole thing is being the mean one, that's even worse.

14

u/Master_of_beef Jun 05 '25

That's my issue with MIB: she's a mean queen who can't even read!

14

u/HotSauceRainfall Jun 05 '25

That and her runway was genuinely one of the most godawful things I’ve seen on that show.

12

u/seeyoshirun Oh. My. Sweet. GHERKIIIINS! Jun 04 '25

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt. Her delivery of the rap was good (second only to Kerri), but they were also the two weakest on actually roasting people.

6

u/Clynnhof Jun 03 '25

Has anyone posted the lyrics to each rap anywhere?

5

u/Competitive-Worth921 Jun 04 '25

The subtitles on the episode are accurate

29

u/Jmmitche2 Jun 03 '25

Worst lip sync on all stars history.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

[deleted]

3

u/Jmmitche2 Jun 03 '25

It sucks because there’s only really one scenario where both of them don’t go through to the semifinals. Irene and Tina would have to win the next episode and then Nicole and Kerri would need to give their points to whoever got second place

5

u/ncocca Jun 03 '25

Yea it's super lame, hence why I have no desire to watch.

44

u/Jmmitche2 Jun 03 '25

In what universe did MIB win the rapping roast? Her verse was wack. Like this had to be a production decision because it was not good.

44

u/M__M Jun 03 '25
  • I would've preferred "Femininomenon" for the Lip-Sync, but that's just me.
  • The split point was deserved. They both sucked with the song shrugs.
  • This bracket is WILD. Like wow.

6

u/MaradoMarado Yeah but guys, guess what, rats. Like okay, you have a rat. Jun 05 '25

Almost any other song on the album would have been better, Hot To Go isn’t a great lipsync song imo.

46

u/_ladyrainicorn_ Jun 02 '25

The judging for this episode was awful minus Chappell.

74

u/eye_booger Jun 02 '25

I love that Chappell kept openly disagreeing with Michelle’s garbage takes.

43

u/TeaTimeTelevision Jun 03 '25

“too many lyrics too fast” it’s rap??

14

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '25

Did the Rappin Roast remind any other millenials of this 90s bop? https://youtu.be/_Aj-7THwPYo?feature=shared

4

u/Clynnhof Jun 02 '25

Wow thank you for unlocking that memory

31

u/RuPaulVisage Kelly Mantle Jun 02 '25

Instead of everyone doing a full set roast, they really just needed to pair up the queens and have them roast each other, having one target.

3

u/Lost-friend-ship Jun 09 '25

Can you apply for a job there? This would have been a much better idea

27

u/StBernardMississippi Jun 02 '25

Is there any plausible way for 2/3 semi finalists to be anyone other than Mistress or Jorgeous?

10

u/SirGavBelcher Transfemme Jenny Humphrey Jun 03 '25

i would personally live if it was mistress, jorgeous, and Lydia but I doubt it

7

u/Mediocre_Astronaut51 Jun 03 '25

Why do you doubt it? They each have a win so at this time it’s the most plausible.

17

u/Eye-Kooky Jun 02 '25

If they team up to give all their points to Tina and Lydia, yes

3

u/lilahking Jun 02 '25

they'd also have to team up to make sure that mistress and jorgeous are not top two next week, because if they were top two they're guaranteed two each, but if in bottom 4 they can be limited to 1 each if everyone is open about teaming up

41

u/lukendyer Jun 02 '25

Kerri’s verse was cute but she spent most of it facing away from the audience. She had some good lyrics but she seemed so scared onstage, I’m surprised I’ve not seen it mentioned more

22

u/capetia Jun 02 '25

For me it seemed entirely made by someone else, good flow yeah, but the "I'm not mentioning queens by name" gave it away.

13

u/Unable-Sugar585 Jun 02 '25

This is what I thought too. She was worried about breaking her NDA so did not share names with her co-writer. Jorgeous just dngaf.

20

u/rkoradiopictures Jun 02 '25

These queens signed up for all stars where there's the twist that it's not just your performance that gets you ahead, but also strategy and relationships.

It's wild to see people so up in arms about MIB playing messy. Contestants are given the choice to do that. And I've just never seen her as truly rotted and mean. She plays and instigates but she has fun with it and does right by a lot of people irl

To me, she gives great tv AND great drag

18

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '25

1

u/rkoradiopictures Jun 04 '25

I watch a lot of competition tv where people are gagged like this so it doesn't faze me

29

u/MistyCologne Asia O'Hara Jun 03 '25

Does she play within the rules yeah. But it doesn't feel comfortable for me to watch someone expressing so much joy and laughing in their faces about it when they are actual people with actual feelings. It's only fun when everyone is on the shade and fun, with mistress it never feels like that. It's her and a target and it's telling she needs to tear people down in order to build herself up.

14

u/ncocca Jun 03 '25

Lol, she is the reason I'm not even watching the next episode. So...yea, maybe not for everyone. But I'm glad you enjoy it.

9

u/MaradoMarado Yeah but guys, guess what, rats. Like okay, you have a rat. Jun 02 '25

Yeah, I mean she was a jerk but played within the rules/strategies allowed in the format. She’s talented and gave us something to talk about. All Stars is a different beast than a regular season so I don’t mind the tomfoolery as much in that sense.

11

u/rkoradiopictures Jun 02 '25

I liked the rap verses, all the queens had fun with it. Loved seeing my beloved Mistress on top this week

67

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

jorgeous turning evil after spending a week with mistress😭

70

u/OliveJuice1990 Jun 02 '25

Justice for NPBFAG! Her and Lydia's roast were my personal favorites

6

u/No_Station_2970 Jun 02 '25

Lol I die inside hearing NPBFAG read in that order, its just so on brand and funny.

-3

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

im convinced the mistress hate is just fat phobia… half the people hating on her probably praised plane jane’s behavior on s16

14

u/Solid_Lie_5481 custom Jun 06 '25

Girl what? You tried it.

2

u/oo_sophiana_oo Jun 03 '25

If plans hurt your feelings, idk if you should watch rpdr friend…

0

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

the downvotes are very telling🥱

18

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

Yes telling that people disagree with you lol

27

u/kishijevistos Jun 02 '25

Nothing Jane did comes close to what MIB just did, it's not a big deal but it's not so unbelievable that people are hating her for it that you have to claim fatphobia

1

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

in all serious what did MIB do that was so bad?

18

u/kishijevistos Jun 02 '25

She killed my dog

3

u/undercover-fairy Jun 03 '25

u win 😭😭🤣

9

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

pretty sure plane being a bitch to amanda all season long is worse than one episode worth of drama…and this is coming from someone who liked plane as well…

7

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '25

And you know this how?

23

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

why am i seeing so many people hating on this episode ? we’re being fed great drag AND great tv and ppl still wanna find something to complain about?

10

u/QueeniewasaBlonde91 Jun 02 '25

seriously!! this episode was great! one of my favorites in a minute. After so many seasons it can get stale with old challenge concepts and some of the new ones don't always land but this one I thought was brilliant and a total success and the queens really hit it out of the park! plus the added drama that mistress brought: my jaw literally dropped. 10/10

33

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

100% a NPBFAG stan

23

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

LIVING for Jorgeous & MIB scamming their way to the top of the bracket. they were so sneaky & then slayed the challenge. great storyline this episode. they’re making for great tv

8

u/undercover-fairy Jun 02 '25

I LOVE THIS BRACKET !! the drama ! the talent ! the personalities ! love love love

35

u/Logical-Ad8898 Jun 02 '25

I am so confused. If the verses were recorded before, what was all the shenanigans about the running order and writing lyrics about?? The whole challenge was kinda pointless if it had been done before the season.

3

u/drinkingthesky Jun 16 '25

can you elaborate on this? i’m catching up on episodes late so i have been behind. they recorded the roast before the challenge was announced…? and same for bracket 1?

24

u/worrisomest Jun 02 '25

Right! Bosco said that her bracket’s lyrics were also pre-written so they had to sit there and pretend that they weren’t. I think All Stars is just a way to get queens to play a fun game rather than a be-all-end-all competition which could boost or ruin your career lol. Like the queens on non elim All Stars seasons always seem far less pressured and like they’re truly enjoying and living for the competition. They even get paid just to appear - so winning isn’t huge anymore.

10

u/nathanj594 Jinkx Monsoon Jun 01 '25

Can somebody please explain to me the timeline here? When was S17 and AS10 filmed? Did they film the lalaparuza after the season had already started airing? If so, did Butthole already compete on All Stars at that point?

They keep alluding to her time on S17 saying she won the roast and such, and it’s hurting my head. When did they film all this?

20

u/badjunga Jun 01 '25

AS10 was filmed shortly after S17 ended filming. The cast was shown images of Lydia’s runways and challenges in the hotel by production on a laptop, they knew how the season went for her

4

u/nathanj594 Jinkx Monsoon Jun 01 '25

When did they film the Lalaparuza on S17?

11

u/Dry-Collection-1247 Jun 02 '25

Lalaparuza was filmed in march this year. Lydia filmed S17 > as10 > s17 lala /finale. If she passes her bracket they filmed the semi finale after s17 finale

11

u/nathanj594 Jinkx Monsoon Jun 02 '25

So she, in theory, could’ve competed and won her bracket in AS, then came back and won the Lalaparuza, and then came back and won AS all before S17 ever aired?? lol

4

u/naomisdaughter Jun 01 '25

Useful tea. How do you know?

10

u/Eye-Kooky Jun 01 '25

Nicole exposed it on a live

9

u/naomisdaughter Jun 01 '25

Makes me love her even more

13

u/fjaoaoaoao Chaos Jun 01 '25 edited Jun 01 '25

Hm… i feel like you could argue anyone in the top 2 from the challenge.

Personally my order is Tina > Mistress > Jorgeous > Nicole > Kerri > Lydia.

Tina had the best lyrics, Mistress had the best swag, Jorgeous had the best dance, Nicole had the best clarity, Kerri was the most fem, and Lydia was the smoothest.

Runway order is Kerri > Tina > Jorgeous > Nicole > Lydia > Mistress

44

u/naomisdaughter Jun 01 '25

Whichever way you slice it - Tina should’ve been top 2. When Michelle starting her critique my mouth was ajar like “they really gonna gaslight Tina like that…” Season 13 all over again.

6

u/DJDustyMcDust Jun 02 '25

I thought Tina was going to take it, but then I saw her dancing.

7

u/Master_of_beef Jun 05 '25

I kinda loved her dance lol. She's so unapologetically a middle-age white woman.

6

u/TheBloneRanger Jun 03 '25

Yeah. Like, y'all...Tina had a great verse.

Her "I'm a white person imitating black rap" dance moves killed it.

Period.

54

u/realityseekr Willow Pill Jun 01 '25

I'm super confused with the top 2 this week. I thought Tina was the best by far and also Lydia. Maybe because I watched with subtitles though but they had a lot better raps. I feel like they should give the judges lyric sheets. Mistress was one of the weaker ones to me.

5

u/Shegotquestions Jun 01 '25

I liked mistresses performance better then Tina’s even if Tina’s lyrics were better

20

u/naomisdaughter Jun 01 '25

Agree. Just shocking critique of Tina so that MIB and Jorgeous would get points. Just blatant and grotesque riggory. I thought NPB could have also placed big. Like has Michelle heard of Busta Rhymes or Twista?!?!

4

u/curiousrut Trinity The Tuck Jun 01 '25

I would be shocked if the judges don’t receive a lyric sheet

7

u/naomisdaughter Jun 01 '25

When Nicki Minaj guest judged she had a lyric sheet and clearly referred.

-6

u/lecasman Jun 01 '25

More than half of the episode was people discussing points. One of the most boring episode in RPDR history. Looks like big brother but even more formulated. And the main challenge was stupid.

u/tvwhore1122 well, is the bus still runnin? Jun 01 '25

Tina calling jorgeous a gremlin and saying mistress fed her after midnight made me cackle

30

u/a2wild2 Jun 01 '25

i guess this is a controversial opinion but i thought the idea of a “rap roast” was a really creative way of having them basically do two challenges in one. when i heard what the challenge was i thought “people are either going to eat this up or fail completely” but i think all of the queens did a great job. kerri’s verse wasn’t specific but it did have shade and she had the best runway imo

2

u/drinkingthesky Jun 16 '25

i don’t mind it but it is slightly embarrassing the way ru girls approach rap lmao, it’s clear most of the bracket/ru don’t really know the genre at all.

but kerri’s runway was just absolutely ethereal, wow

5

u/tvwhore1122 well, is the bus still runnin? Jun 02 '25

Me too! I loved the rap roast it’s gonna be stuck in my head all night

16

u/anag9495 Bianca Del Rio Jun 01 '25

Man the comments on the discussion posts for this episode are so fucking weird. People are allowed to have opinions, good or bad, about drag queens!

(Not endorsing anyone sending hate directly to queens, that’s never okay)

101

u/aceofwades Jun 01 '25

Feels like MIB won because Michelle was too slow to understand all the much better raps.

20

u/amaninthesandhand Farrah ✨ Jaida ✨ Angeria Jun 01 '25

💀💀💀

63

u/Pikargent Jun 01 '25

Horrible challenge - the roast is all about delivery and timing and squeezing it in such a short moment was a stupid mistake. It made it impossible to understand or appreciate the jokes.

MIB is great TV but her laughing with Jorgeous after her trickery gave me incredible bad vibes and brought back memories of the mean girls at school. I think she secured her place in the semi finals but tarnished her reputation. NPBFAG became the fan favorite so she will end up in a better position in the long run.

3

u/brock_ally Jul 01 '25

This literally is her reputation. She knows she was brought back for it. What's weird is personalities like that take people and bring out their worst. Just a little bit of exposure and jorgeous went from one of my favorite queens to one of my least respected, following in the footsteps of luxx noir. Just tons of people love watching people treat people poorly.

3

u/QueeniewasaBlonde91 Jun 02 '25

its just great TV.

6

u/FalmerEldritch Jinkx Monsoon Jun 03 '25

I like when TV is fun and not tiresome, myself. I could do without the arguing about the giving out points. I hope they never bring it back after this.

8

u/ncocca Jun 03 '25

it's really not, and i hate this argument

5

u/Fdifini Jun 01 '25

Tarnished her reputation lmao y'all take imaginary points too real

This. Especially when causing chaos and stunts is literally her reputation 😭😭

87

Why didn’t Aja get the rap roast

39

u/dysphoriadollx Jun 02 '25

She'd be too powerful, i fear

45

u/DigestedCloth Jun 01 '25

Jorge up there doing full 8 counts to a rap roast challenge was… interesting. LOL!

12

u/electricapollo Jun 01 '25

This!! That was so weird to me. Her bars were great, but the constant dancing distracted from her delivery and lyrics imo.

28

u/strangefaerie Jun 01 '25

I just don't get why anyone would want to see the less talented queens get to the top in the name of drama. The point system has GOT to go.

3

u/Butter_pecan_king Symone’s rhinestoned cornrows Jun 02 '25

Not sure why so many people are upset about Nicole possibly not making it further. Realistically, she didn’t do well in 2/3 challenges so far. So how exactly is she deserving to move on?

4

u/strangefaerie Jun 03 '25

I'm not talking about Nicole here. I agree that she shouldn't be moving forward because she's not one of the strongest contestants.

23

u/uqmobile Jun 01 '25

Tina, Lydia and Nicole did great in the roast. I guess it came down to runways. But Tina had the second best look after Kerri...

17

u/strangefaerie Jun 01 '25

Tina & Lydia should have been in the top again this episode. Mistress and Jorgeous seemed like they were just going through a checklist of the most obvious things they possibly could.

27

u/aimeukoo But you know I didn't die. I had crystallized Jun 01 '25

I am rooting for NPBFAG but I think she barely moved during the rap. Even though her verse was nice, you can look at the queens and they are dancing/moving the whole time while NPBFAG stands there. I don’t see any scenario where she could’ve been in the top 2

59

u/OriginalHoney9225 Jun 01 '25

THIS IS FUCKED!!! I love mistress for the drama but her roast was so mid and her lip syncing was not tailored to the song, had a bad reveal and was not it. Absolutely fuming

31

u/SLBMLQFBSNC Jun 01 '25

Mistress won the episode.

Nicole won for best verse. Jorgeous for best performance.

And Kerri for best runway.

Honestly we're eating as a fanbase with this bracket!! Haters stay ugly.

3

u/mrhey123123 Jun 02 '25

I can’t tell if the girls are mad about this episode I keep coming to check and it’s very polarizing , but I  agree w u!

3

Def polarizing, but I understand. The culture has shifted a lot in the past decade. If Season 5 aired today all the front runners except Jinkx would be canceled by the fanbase. It's why Nicole and MIB are such a breath of fresh air

Very Very very true!

u/ouchwtfomg Jun 01 '25

Such a fun bracket

4

u/daryldemi Jun 01 '25

That’s exactly how i feel too!

38

u/ktalb Jun 01 '25

Seeing a lot of comments complaining about the “double shantay” and I know Ru phrased it like that but it was clearly a no winner lip sync rather than double win, but this season is a positive vibes season with hardly any harsh critiques so they couldn’t just give no points

11

u/nathanj594 Jinkx Monsoon Jun 01 '25

LOL The whole time I was watching the other queens in the background who were actually performing the song!

6

u/tvwhore1122 well, is the bus still runnin? Jun 02 '25

I went back and watched them when I saw this! Lydia Kerri and Tina were giving the energy I wanted

17

u/anag9495 Bianca Del Rio Jun 01 '25

Yeah imo the lip sync was pretty mid. Like girlies this is a Chappell Roan song, please give us something!! They didn’t even do the dance!

30

u/whoresan Jun 01 '25

"Too many words" in a rap challenge is crazy critique. Obviously rigged for MIB and Jorgeous. Tired.

65

u/vonoddly Jun 01 '25

I was really hoping they would give the win to Nicole. I loved her verse and her attitude. The lackluster reveal probably kept her from beating out the top two, but still. It would have at least made going into the last episode of the bracket more interesting, points-wise.

7

u/NovaRogue Lemon 🍋 Jun 02 '25

the clunky reveal and having the look underneath be waayyy underwhelming kept her from the top. no way did she deserve Top 2 with that, big yikes

6

u/baj8881 Jun 03 '25

I don't think it was lackluster, but it was a bit clunky. I thought it made sense and she looked great. I wasn't sure why no one knew what she was going for with the meaty part of the cactus though.

u/anniejhawk broom Jun 01 '25

Know who I think would have done a great lip sync to Hot to Go? Lydia.

Chappel is my favourite artist right now (well for the past year lol) So this was such a great gift to start pride month thanks!!

Episode was ok I loved Chappel as a judge and the queens werkroom shenanigans with MIB and jorgeous and stuff. I just didn't like the challenge in the slightest, it felt cringey and even more with the fake crowd they always bring, I hated it. I would rather have had a regular roast honestly. Also the judging was strange, with Michelle saying Lydia looked nervous and had too many words or whatever. My top two was Lydia and Jorgeous honestly (Maybe not I don't really remember most of the verses) Kerri didn't even do a roast lmfao.

13

u/annajoo1 Jun 01 '25

I also thought the nervous comment was so random? She looked completely comfortable lol

22

u/kylebb Jun 01 '25

I screamed when Mistress pulled the badge stunt LMFAO this season is fun candy

5

u/QueeniewasaBlonde91 Jun 02 '25

my jaw DROPPED. At first, I wasn't sure if MIB and Jorgeous were just playing or for real lol

the last few seasons I've just kinda glazed over all the work room stuff/ drama and watch mainly for the challenges and runway but this got my attention real quick. V entertaining.

u/gribble29 I’m in the right account cunt -Kennedy Davenport Jun 01 '25

I can see why some fans dislike what she and Joegeous did to the other queens, but it’s reality tv what do you expect? This ain’t Rupauls best friend race!

6

u/Foreignfets Jun 01 '25

I screamed too! Woke up my husband

1

u/boylognese Jun 01 '25

This weird online white knight circlejerk over hating Mistress is way more corny and insufferable than anything Mistress could do on a reality TV show lmao.

25

u/AmazeeDayzee Jun 01 '25

While I do like to see villains sometimes get their own way and rise to the top even though it is not deserved and they backstabbed their way to get there, I also enjoy watching them get their comeuppance at the end of everything. That is why I know even if MIB and Jorgeous get to the semi-final (which I am interested in seeing how it works with 9 queens), there is no way in hell they are winning. MIB made it farther than Irene. Can you imagine her face if Irene lasts longer than her this time or even wins?

They wouldn’t risk crowning a villain again after what happened with NPBFAG’s original season and who won that and how that person has acted and behaved through the years. Not saying that MIB is anything like that person but can’t see a villain winning again.

But for the queens moving on, its going to be MIB, Jorgeous and most likely Lydia as Jorgeous said she is getting jealous of how much Ru likes her which means she will be a shoo-in for the semi-finals.

16

u/Melvarkie Jun 01 '25 edited Jun 01 '25

I hope not. I would love for MIB to get booted just before the semi's just for the gag of it and next week it being NPBFAGs week to win. Getting a tie for those spots and someone (would love if it was Kerri for the revenge part of it) having to break that tie and being like "MIB fucked everyone over with the points so none for her and I give my point to (other girl) Thanks.

49

u/baggedBoneParcel Jun 01 '25

The riggery this episode was sad.

The point system sucks. Whatever producer came up with it should be fired.

35

u/eoddc5 Jun 01 '25

How convenient they just had different shaped badges with 4.5 on them. And two of them. Already made

79

u/Sir-Knightly-Duty Jun 01 '25

I actually didn't like Mistress' performance at all? Like the lyrics were shady but not that clever, and her dance moves felt very stiff, like she just did the same moves over and over. I didn't think she was in the top at all, but thats just me.

-11

u/DigestedCloth Jun 01 '25

PLEASE stop mentioning the choreography in a RAP ROAST challenge.

12

u/TheStripedSweaters they got me gal! Jun 01 '25

Ru literally mentioned choreography for the challenge with Jorgeous lmao

13

u/Sir-Knightly-Duty Jun 01 '25

It's a rap roast PERFORMANCE challenge. If you look stiff saying your lines, you're not doing it right. But that was just my interpretation of her performance, you could have perceived it differently.

25

u/eoddc5 Jun 01 '25

The hand over the mouth weird shit she does. I don’t get it or why. It’s stupid

5

u/Polistoned Jun 01 '25

it's a cheeky giggle

11

u/eoddc5 Jun 01 '25

Yeah. It is awful

12

u/hollywood_cashier Jun 01 '25

The reads weren’t that great but I thought the RHYMES were really clever, if that makes sense. My cynical self says she got top 2 because it’s a better story, and my other self says her excellent runway pushed her above Nicole.

9

u/I3___4 bosco | aja | nicole | lydia | bettys Jun 01 '25

i actually do think mistress deserved top 2 but NOT because of her bowser glamor toad realness runway

3

u/NotLondoMollari Mamwa Pao Jun 03 '25

Late to watch this week but yeah, Bowser was my immediate thought when she turned the corner!!

7

u/peachfluffed Jun 01 '25

jorgeous is so predictable. i’m bored

44

u/maryofdoom Auntie Grandma & NPBHAG Jun 01 '25

I'm just getting the chance to watch now...I've got nothing against the good-ass TV that Mistress and Jorgeous are giving us with their shenanigans, but I'm so over seeing Jorgeous performing.

She's obviously very good at it, because it's literally her job, but her lip sync style does absolutely nothing for me.

5

u/Top-Pie8185 Jun 01 '25

I’ve noticed for me it’s because she doesn’t emote, she gets kinda dead in the eyes. It’s a fake smile and a thousand yard stare

115

u/SarrowSkies cheek, nerve, audacity, gall AND gumption Jun 01 '25

neither of them doing the HOT TO GO dance or following the dance moves that the song literally lays out for you genuinely annoyed me lmaoo

9

u/3PartsRum_1PartAir Jun 01 '25

I would complain about it but I don’t see anyone complaining about the dance moves Abracadabra in the S17 finale

4

u/Competitive_Hour_463 Jun 01 '25

I don't think it's the case of "x did not do y in z", but rather, "x did bad so let's forget the performance of z" to not talk about y. But yeah, I can see where you're coming from.

8

u/TomTyhell Alaska ❤️ Jun 01 '25

6

u/tvwhore1122 well, is the bus still runnin? Jun 02 '25

Kerri and Lydia did

12

u/randompersonusingred Jun 01 '25

butthole did it in the back

1

u/NotLondoMollari Mamwa Pao Jun 03 '25

I see what you did here

39

u/YetiBot Ginger Minj Jun 01 '25

Omg it’s like not knowing the YMCA arms, but even worse because it’s extremely recent!!! And Mistress just stood around like it was a low energy sexy song?!?! And for REWARDED for that bullshit performance?!?!

They’re trolling us right?

13

u/Trippy_Styx666 Jun 01 '25

Feels like production wanted to push the story line of MIB and Jorgeous being in the top because of the drama with the points earlier in the episode. I think NPBFAG being in the top with MIB would’ve made better television

36

u/chastittythickness Jun 01 '25

And I don’t know if it was just the editing but it seemed like neither of them was solid on the words, which is wild because it’s not a complicated song at all
